Chagigah - the world renowned Midwest Israeli folk dance weekend, returns for its 19th year!

MenGeneral Information
Chagigah will include a great weekend of Israeli dance workshops, specialty sessions, late-night dancing, singing, surprises and more!

The Place
Chagigah will be held in Wisconsin at OSRUI's beautiful retreat setting. The dance hall, one of the best in all of Israeli dancing, is a wonderful, air-conditioned gymnasium with a sprung floor. OSRUI has many other facilities, including a variety of heated housing options, program spaces and over 200 acres of countryside to explore. Meals are served family style in the community dining hall. Vegetarian, or medical diets are accommodated with application request.

Travel Arrangements 
Chagigah begins at 2pm on Friday, October 8th, and concludes at noon on Monday, October 11th. Check-in will be available from 12:30 pm – 10 pm on Friday. Kabbalat Shabbat services begin at 6:45 pm. Dinner is at 7:30 pm.

Airports: If you are planning on coming to the pre-camp festivities on Thursday, the Chicago airports (O’Hare 1st, Midway 2nd) are your best choices. If you’re arriving for camp on Friday, plan to arrive into Milwaukee (MKE). (O’Hare is about 110 miles from the camp.)

Pre-Camp Dance Party
Begin the fun early! Make plans to be at our pre-camp dance party with the faculty on Thursday night, October 7th in Chicago. Currently we plan to start at 8 pm at Temple Judea Mizpah, 8610 Niles Center Road in Skokie (a few blocks south of Dempster). The charge for the workshop/party will be $10.
